Availability: Daytime, evenings and weekends by appointment only. Appointments: Due to the exclusive nature of scheduling at 7th Direction, one-on-one, you should never have to wait if you arrive on time for your appointments. If you are late, every effort will be made to give you your full time but if that isn't possible, the charges will be prorated. Certificates: Gift Certificates are available for all 7th
Direction services, spa packages and Spa Dollars, and may be ordered by
phone or e-mail. Gift certificates can be mailed directly to your desired
recipients. Location: 7th Direction Therapeutic Day Spa is located on Hill Road Pkwy, in northwest Boise. Situated on over an acre of beautifully landscaped land, part of the original Gillis family farm, founded in the early 1950s. It's quiet, off the road, plenty of free parking; a rural feeling, the way Boise used to be. Take a look at our map outlining directions to our location. |
Before
Your Treatment: Avoid heavy eating and alcohol consumption prior to
a massage or body treatment. Please shower first, if possible, before an aromatherapy
treatment so the Aveda essential oils will be of most benefit to your body.
Arrival Time: You do not need to arrive early for your appointment.
You will be greeted by the associate that will be working with you. Consultation
time, including the Sensory Journey
,
will not take away time dedicated to your treatment.
What to Wear: Come to the day spa dressed as you please. You will be
provided a spa gown and/or robe and slippers. Some treatments include scalp
massage and formulas may come in contact with your hair but 7th Direction provides
a full line of Aveda styling aids for your use after your treatment. Please
let us know if you have any concerns.
What to Expect During A Treatment: Most sessions begin with
a Sensory Journey
to discover the essential oils that best nurture you. Then, you will be left
alone in the treatment room to change clothes, before and after your treatment.
During massage and body treatments you will be fully draped except the area
being worked. During facials you will wear a spa gown so the neck can also benefit
from the treatment.
If you are uncomfortable for any reason you are
not going to benefit the most from your treatment. Please let us know immediately of any
concerns, e.g. room temperature, massage pressure, music selection, or any reaction to any
product used.
After Your Treatment: It is important to drink water after any body
treatment to aid the body in cleansing. After deep massage you may experience soreness or
tenderness which should disappear by the next day. Facials are deep cleansing and may
bring about a flare up if you are prone to breakouts. Hair removal by waxing often will
leave your skin red and rash like, this may last up to 48 hours. Please contact us at 7th
Direction with any concerns you have after a treatment.
